Specialty: Clubhouse Operations, Food and Beverage, Revenue Management During a 13-year career with American Golf Corporation (AGC), Stuart held progressively senior roles in the company. Prior to leaving to AGC to become President of a career management firm, he reported to the CEO as the Senior Vice President of Operations Support. In this role he was responsible for the strategy and implementation of Revenue Management, Food and Beverage, Catering and Group Sales, Private Memberships, Merchandising, Purchasing and Nike Golf Learning Centers. In addition to leading each of these areas, he developed and deployed a national labor management initiative focused on reducing the company’s $240M hourly payroll. During the course of this two-year project, annual hourly labor expense was reduced by more than $8M, while operational efficiencies and guest services were improved. In his previous role, from 2000 to 2003 he served as Senior Vice President and Regional Operating Executive for the Western United States. He was responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of 87 public golf courses with full P&L responsibility and over 5,000 employees. Before 2000, Hayden was American Golf’s Vice President of Marketing, where his responsibilities included reservation systems, Internet strategy, revenue management, and all corporate marketing functions for the company. During this time frame he also led the development of the American Golf Players Association, which grew to more than 130,000 members. In 1995, he was promoted to Vice President of Marketing Technologies, where he successfully developed and implemented a national revenue management strategy. He joined American Golf in 1992 as Director of Management Information Systems, where he spearheaded the development of numerous systems automating course and corporate functions. Prior to joining American Golf, he spent 11 years in middle management with IBM in administration, sales, and marketing. In 1992, he received his MBA from the University of Southern California, and he also holds a BA in Business Management from the University of Redlands. |
