Lisa Langas has utilized her business degree in numerous areas including commercial banking, food and beverage, department and specialty store retailing, and now in the golf arena. As a buyer for May Company stores, Lisa learned the importance of implementing proven retail management strategies focusing on open to buy planning. This experience has helped her become a top retail consultant in the golf industry. She learned the ins and outs of golf shop operations when hired to run the retail operation of a distinguished golf club in Denver, Colorado. It was this experience where she realized the lack of resources available to golf professionals and buyers necessary to operate financially successful businesses. In 1995, Ms. Langas started ShopPro, Inc. a retail consulting company specific to the golf industry. Her primary focus was developing an excel-based ‘open-to-buy’ program to plan, track and measure actual retail sales and purchases against preplanned annual budgets for golf shop operators. Ms. Langas took her program nationwide educating and training merchandisers how to implement and execute such a program effectively to improve profitability. In 2001 she co-founded Golf Shop Solutions, an Internet based open to buy program and consulting service company specific to the golf industry. Today Lisa offers comprehensive retail consulting services. From financial services to visual merchandising, staff training and operations manuals, Lisa has the resources and experience to help any golf shop. For the past 16 years Lisa has worked with hundreds of golf shops, helping them attain greater profitability and improved merchandising standards.
